Hindus and India
Majority of the Indians are Hindus. Others like Muslims, Buddists, Sikhs and Christians are in minority in most states. Forefathers of these minorities were mainly Hindus (or native Indians).
In the past, caste system in Hindu society was one of the reasons for conversions from Hinduism to other religions. Those who converted got benefits from missionaries, religious bodies, rulers etc. These converts also started claiming better social status!
So the remaining population, belonging to scheduled castes and tribes and 'other backward classes', who kept on following Hinduism should now be given most of the benefits from not only state but from wealthy individuals. And every Hindu should treat every other Hindu equally.
Now-a-days relatively wealthier business communities like Parsi, Ismaili Khoja, even Jain also claim minority-status for special exemptions and benefits! Some other communities too act as if they are superior than others and yet take benefits meant for backword classes!
Most of the Hindus are peace loving (influence of Nonviolence; अहिंसा; Ahinsaa) and lots of them have never tried to be physically strong! That is why India was ruled by invaders for centuries. First came the Muslims and then the Christians (British, French and Portuguese). These invaders not only looted India but also converted lots of Indians to their faith. Check history.
After Worldwar II, Britain became weak and wasn't capable of ruling a vast country like India. Muslims wanted their own rule so Pakistan and EastPakistan (now Bangladesh) were carved out of India.
Pakistan has attacked India three times. After loosing all the wars, hardliners in the Pak have turned to terrorism. Since centuries Islamic extremists have been attacking Hindu temples, devotees and institutions. But after the formation of Pakistan, it has increased many folds.
Secular Politicians and Officers
Selfish and greedy Congress party leaders and other Indian politicians (from minority dominated areas) every now and then criticise Nationalist Hindu organisations to ensure votes of the minorities. Lots of greedy Hindus also support Congress! So the Congress party remain in power despite of massive scams.
Most of the politicians mint money and take it to the safe heavens in the West! These so called secular politicians don't let the state take strong action against terrorists and extremists to appease the minority voters. Most of the corrupt (police) officers also don't do enough to safeguard the general public! It makes India, a soft and weak state.
In Pakistan, minorities are under tremendous pressure to convert to Islam because of the militant majority. And the Muslims and so called seculars never speak against it!
There are states, areas in India where the Hindus are in minority. From one such province - Kashmir, lots of Hindus fled because they were targeted by militants and Muslim majority. Congress let that happen, so that Muslims keep on voting for them!
Do Nothing!
Fortunately, most of the ordinary Indians remain absorbed in their work, profession or business and don't become extremists. To show minority communities that the state machinery is working for them, Hindu extremism (which is rare) is dealt with strongly.
Silver line is that there are true patriots amongst minorities as well. Many patriots have sacrificed (or devoted) their life for India. E.g. lots of Sikhs serve in the army. Hindus should remain calm (even after terror strikes) and never speak against minorities in public, in general. Remember, terrorists (and our enemies) want India divided, they should fail.
We should boycott individuals, parties, organisations, companies who indulge in Anti-Hindu activities. But we have to be absolutely sure when we brand someone as anti-Hindu. We should refrain from touring places, cities, countries where Hindus were/are oppressed, particularly Muslim contries with strict 'Sharia' laws! In such contries, having 'Satyarth-Prakash' or even 'Geeta' can land us in Jail!
Hindu Festivals
For Hindus partying means celebrating festivals! There are so many Hindu festivals that they remain busy particularly even during slack season of mansoon. :-)
Diwali/Dipavali - दीवाली [deepavalee - दीपावली / दिवाली] is the main festival of India.
